Dr. Alissa Levy is an experienced educator from Los Angeles, CA with over 20 years of teaching experience ranging from Pre-K through 12th grade. She holds a B.A. in English (UCSB), a B.S. in Applied Mathematics (UCSB), an M.S. in Cognitive Neuroscience (NSU), and a doctorate in K-12 Administration from the University of Southern California. Throughout her career, Dr. Levy has worked predominantly with Middle and High School students from diverse backgrounds. Dr. Levy has also served as the founding principal of an urban, public Montessori school and an adjunct professor at the University of New Haven. In 2018, she joined the Yale-Ashoka Changemaker Fellowship under the direction of Yale's Center for the Study of Emotional Intelligence. Currently, she has taken leave to return to the classroom, where she finds the most fulfillment, as a middle school math teacher.
